Hiii! I’m Zerkyah Yarbrough the vice president and I’ve been in bpa for three years! You’ll see me around school in Leo Club, Book Club, Student Council, and Pickle Ball Club. I am also the vice president for the class of 2025!! I love to go to concerts and find new recipes to try!!! Let’s have a great year!

“My expirence in BPA has truly changed my life. I joined the club in 7th grade just wanting a club to participate in. During middle school I competed in extemporaneous speaking and was lucky enough to go to nationals twice and placed 1st and 2nd in the nation. I also got to attened the Chicago NLC and placed 5th in the nation for prepared speech. Public speaking has grown my confidence immensely and being in the club has made me want to help others as an officer. I look forward to my future in BPA.”

“I have a strong passion for law and was driven to BPA when I learned about the Business Law and Ethics & Legal Office Procedures events. Since joining, I have developed a strong love for the organization and have received numerous opportunities, including competing at the national level in Chicago during my first year. I decided to become historian to help give back to our schools’s BPA chapter and aid in its growth. Outside of BPA I am in both business pathways, the social media manager for TSA, a team journalist at VEX Robotics & in various other extracurriculars and sports. I utilize both my marketing background and skills through prior roles, as well as passion for the organization, to help me perform the various duties as historian / marketing manager to the best of my ability. “

Jeffery Bunting, Advisor

Dr. Jeffrey Bunting is a Business Teacher for the Indian River High School’s (IRHS) School of Business located in Dagsboro, Delaware. He is currently in his ninth year as a teacher after transitioning from the private sector into public education via the Alternate Route to Teacher Certification (ARTC) program. In this capacity, he teaches courses in finance, accounting, and marketing concurrent with his role as advisor to the Business Professionals of America (BPA) student organization. He currently serves as business program department head, is a member of IRHS Instructional Leadership Team (ILT), and represented IRHS as the 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year.
